Hi,  it’s me  Kathy ie: Kat, Miss Kitty, Wildkat

Everyone who knows me pretty much knows that I am always working hard or playing hard.

I am the eldest of four children.  As a small child  our family moved to Potters Mills where my father and mother opened Confer’s watch and clock repair shop in our home after my father’s accident.  It was at age 9 that I began my customer relations and people skills, although I did not understand how valuable that would be later in my life.

I am a graduate of Penn’s Valley Area High School where I majored in  business.  I was a legal secretary and court stenographer for five year after which I attended Bible College.

A blessed  woman  being the mother of one son, Troy, and one daughter, Heather.  Not to mention my grandchildren:  Sunshine (Jenny), Hannah, and Colten.

With age comes experience and life has led me in many different directions.  For 18 years I was the administrator of four assisted living facilities.  The next 14 years I concentrated on owning restaurants and taverns.  Of course, many will remember me from the Eutaw House,  the 1823 historic site in Potters Mills remembered fondly as being one of the top most haunted buildings in Pennsylvania, as well as, the well known poet/ writer, Edgar Allen Poe.

That pretty much is a lifetime of “pleasing the public”.  That is what makes me happy in life.  Combine my  public relations, catering, banquets, food and bar service experience with my husband, Chuck’s experience in public relations/people skills and you will see why we are  willing, able and excited about making your special day
a  dream come true!”

Warmly, Kathy

About Charles ie:  Chuck, Cowboy or Chuckles

Let’s talk family of “8”.  Parents, Donald and Lorenah “Dolly” Greenland.  With five brothers and sisters there was always play buddies or someone to pick or play pranks on.

Always a local guy, I graduated from State College High School in 1978 where I majored in “space” and masonry at the Centre County Vo-Tech School in Pleasant Gap.

In 1985 I started C. L Greenland Dairy Business where I serviced dairy farms within a 50 mile radius.  It was my pleasure to be welcomed by  the farmers, all of which have remained long term friends.

Purchasing a home, marriage and dancing were the next big steps in my life.  We organized a dance group called the “Nittany Kickers” where we enjoyed the dancing as much as we enjoyed helping others to learn country dancing.

Dancing stopped when we decided to start a family.  We were only blessed with one daughter, Cassie, who will be graduating from high school spring of 2016.

In 1999 I became the entrepreneur of C. L. Greenland, Inc. specializing in remodeling my customers homes to create a warmer and more relaxed environment for their families.

And now, my wife, Kathy, and I are combining our knowledge and experience to make an event center that will help others to create memories that will last a lifetime.  Moments such as weddings, anniversaries, parties, class reunions, business training, etc. where we will continue to work hard to please our clients.

Warmly, Chuck
